3 Juvenile Practical Jokes You May Enjoy

!±8± 3 Juvenile Practical Jokes You May Enjoy

I like humor. I like practical jokes. Most people do, often to the extent that they are even embarrassed over what they find funny. Let's be serious; a lot of humor and practical jokes are juvenile. This simply means they were funny when we were young, and they are still funny now unless we've gotten old and lost our sense our humor. Many of us will find our spouses have lost their humor for example. Here are 3 practical jokes I've enjoyed and still enjoy on occasion. These are classics that have withstood the test of time. Use them at your own risk of course, and remember that over done practical jokes are no longer funny.

1) Vaseline on the doorknob. It is invisible and nearly impossible to detect, but boy does it feel strange and gross when you grab that door knob. It also makes it tough to open the door! Beware that it's easy to forget you've vaselined the doorknob and get yourself. It's best to leave after application. To do it, put some vaseline on your finger, just a little is necessary, and wipe all over the doorknob. You can also vaseline other objects like toothbrush handles, coffecups, beer bottles, draw and refrigerator handles, and more, but the door knob is the classic.

2) The "Wet Willie." Slightly moisten your index finger with saliva. Get insert into and unsuspecting victim's ear with a slight twirling motion. You may optionally proudly exclaim "Wet Willie!" as you do this. Stealth is very important, as well as choosing a non violent victim. Dry Willies are probably safer as their is no potential exchange of bodily fluids, but you can also accomplish this with a maple syrup willie ir perhaps a mustard or ketchup willie.

3) Cold water over the shower door. This classic is easy to do. When someone is showering, sneak up and throw a glass of very cold water over the shower door. They will instantly notice and the juxtaposition of the warm shower water and the unexpected cold water will cause quite a shock and often confusion as well. The bigger the glass the bigger the effect. Ice is the water is not recommended as it may injure someone, but icing down the water to get it very cold works well. Don't find these funny? Your probably old and lost your sense of humor. Never found these funny? I'm very sorry for you.

How to Strengthen Your Singing Voice - Without Straining

!±8± How to Strengthen Your Singing Voice - Without Straining

Imagine walking out on stage as a hushed anticipation falls over the crowd. You mesmerize your audience by the raw power and beauty of your voice the moment you open your mouth. Singers who can belt out with power and control can draw enormous crowds and often command hefty fees. Developing this type of vocal strength takes more than just time and practice. It takes a careful application of proper technique and demanding exercise. If you try to force it prematurely, then you'll never experience the thrill of an effortless belt.

How do you know if you're ready for more advanced strengthening exercises?

If you are fluent in basic support techniques and can sing for half an hour or more with absolutely no discomfort, it's time to take on new vocal challenges. When working to increase your power, you should NEVER force it - for two reasons.

First - you obviously don't want to strain your voice.
Secondly, you don't need to force it.

Think of it this way. When you force it, you tighten all of the muscles in your throat, face and neck. You cut off your resonating chambers and give your sound less space to come out. Just imagine trying to get a steady stream of water out of a garden hose with a kink in it! With less space for your voice to spin and resonate, you'll sound weaker - not stronger. Do you really want to belt out with power and knock audiences dead? Then first, you must RELAX.

By loosening the muscles in your shoulders and especially around your throat, you open the door not just for more sound, but more control, beauty and resonance. Once you're relaxed and all warmed up, you can use mental imagery - a truly powerful and effective tool to help you get the voice you've always dreamed of.
